U18B Wins Its First Game and Zoe Scores!

Woke up at 5: 15 a.m. since the first game was at 7:50 at Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo. The traffic wasn't too bad and we actually had time to find the place and get Starbuck's before 7:30. it was close, but they lost the game against Coronado 9-2. It was close for a while, but they have no speed or fire power.
Before the next came at 11:50 we drove to San Clemente to go to the Rainbow Sandal store/factory. It was only about 15 minutes away, but when we got there at about 9:30 there was a sign posted that said that it wouldn't open until 10 because they were doing inventory. We went down and looked at the beach and pier and they went back to the Rainbow store just a little before 10.
What fun. It's a funky old 60sish building and the sandals we wanted were $33.

I bought a pair for Robert, one pair for me, and a pair for Gary. I want to keep him in the cool stuff. I tried to find out his shoe size and my phone died, but I got it out of Peggy from Christine's phone-8 1/2.
From there we went back to game 2 and it was close again, but they couldn't score on their power plays and lost 4-2 to Lyons.
Kate wanted to go to the mall, but we went to Sprinkles for cupcakes in Newport Beach instead.

A half dozen was only $19.50 or so. We went to Peet's to use the bathroom and Kate bought a new watch at a store called Brighton and I looked around in a real Tommy Bahama store.
Then it was back to the hotel by 2 for some rest.
We left at 4:3o for the trek to Chino Hills. There was quite a bit of traffic and we took a surface street route via Lambert and Carbon Canyon for part of the way. I just can't imagine Kate driving it EVERY day.
We stopped at Ashleigh's house and met her mother, Nina, and her father, Glen and then loaded the car with the remainders of her bed and assorted other stuff. We then all headed over to Chino to eat at an Italian place called Pizzaiola. We met Ashleigh and her boyfriend there and her sister Shannen went too for a total of eight.
I had a mushroom pizza and Christine had mushroom risotto. Good but nowhere near as hers. It was fun and it was great to get to know her parents better.
Also while we were driving to the restaurant, I called Zoe and found out they beat Puget Sound 6-5 and Zoe scored! Figures.
On the way home Kate was very upset having to see Ashleigh with her non-Christian boyfriend, Ryan. She really just does not know what to do. She just has to let it go and trust God to work.
We took freeways all the way homew and wow was it quicker with no traffic. When we pulled into the parking lot, we saw Zoe as she was getting back from dinner.
