Summer 2008: Final Thoughts
I do not know why I worry about these workshops so much. I do not like some of the preparation and I really do not like the process of getting there and developing the relationships at the beginning. But once I start developing relationships, it all works and I love it. There is a great sense of accomplishment when you feel like you helped yearbook kids and advisers be better prepared to do a better book. I also like feeling I prepared sessions that were good, better then I have ever done them.
Workshop Wrap-up
1. CSPA Columbia University, New York
Taught Theme and Editorial Leadership.
2. Walsworth - University California, Davis
Taught Theme and Editorial Leadership.
3. Herff Jones - Gettysburg Yearbook Experience, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Taught Editorial Leadership.
4. Walsworth - University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, Washington
Taught Intro to Yearbook
5. Walsworth - California State University, San Diego, San Diego
Taught theme and "journalism"
6. Walsworth - Bishop Manogue High School, Reno
Taught big sessions and beginning desktop on PCs.
I really enjoyed the money that I brought in, but working 26 of 67 day of summer just was too much. I want to go back to never working in August.
