Day Thirty Four: Thursday, July 10, 2008
Davis: Day 2
Woke up at five as usual and wrestled with what to do. I got up and drove over to find free leakage at Fluffy Donuts. Bought a donut and coffee for $2.85! I had to make a quick trip to Starbucks since Fluffy didn't have a bathroom. Think I will skip breakfast and take my time getting over to Wellman.
I did just that and hooked up with Crystal and made it to Wellman by 8 even though I told them that we would start at 8:30. Last night the biggest total was 19. Not sure we ever got over 14 with editor appointments and other reasons. I think only one actually move to another class.
In the 8:30 -11:45 session I did mission statement, ladder, organization, job descriptions, captions and ended about 11:30ish. For lunch we had this real Mongolian BarBQue cooked right in the Dining Commons.
The deadly afternoon session began at 4:30 and we did copy writing and design and it work out pretty well and I got them out of there by 4:30. We figure the walk is at least a mile. Dinner was an outdoor barbeque, but first we went over to Fluffy's for leakage. What saved the day was a huge slip n slide they set up in the park.
After dinner we just hung out in the lounge and talked with folks and finally at about 10:30 or so we finally hooked up with Rebecca. I really had a nice time chatting with her until about 11:30 or so.
