Day Twenty Five: Tuesday, July 1, 2008
July…Now the only full month of summer. :(
More Tires and Getting the Van Fixed
Working Out Long Beach
Took the green Civic in to Big O to get its much needed two tires before nine. Then Christine got an appointment for the van at Autocraft and we drove it out to Orangevale. We made a stop at Costco and then we got the call that the Civic was finished so we finished the morning activities by picking it up. Another $115. At least the car is safe now. It was almost a crime how bad those tires were.
I went to school in the afternoon to try and get the camp information worked out and it's becoming clear that we have a problem. If I do not go with the kids, I apparently may need a chaperone, or the easier alternative is that the kids can just pay for their own way. The only problem with that is that it will certainly exclude Emma.
Since then I have just been puttering working on workshop stuff. I want to get both Davis and Gettysburg nailed tomorrow. Finally did hear from Reese and we have a schedule. It is going to be a whirlwind. In Wednesday morning out by six on Friday. I cooked brats and we had the Sloughhouse corn we got on Saturday. It was gooooooood. Zoe is going to babysit for Wayne and Sally for $8 an hour two days a week in July.
