Day Thirty: Sunday, July 6, 2008
Worship
Lunch at Wimbledon
Lois Kellam's retirement party.
Southwest dinner at Peggy and Gary's

After she arrived at 6:45, we passed Gordon off to Rebecca. Then got ready and headed to church. Debbie Hudson called at about 6:50 to ask about making an announcement regarding some Chinese high school exchange students who needed American homes to stay in. Wayne continued his series on The Beatitudes. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied."
We got home and watched the end of Wimbledon a five set match with Federer and Nadal. Nadal won 9-7 in a tie breaker in the final set. What is being called the greatest Wimbledon final in history.

At five we went to Lois Kellam's retirement party put on by some of her longtime golf and tennis friends. Wayne and Sandy, Gail and Ron, Karen, Sheri, Rita, and Vera were all there. There was great food and live music and it was great to celebrate Lois. turns out I've known her 36 years as she was at Mira Loma when I first started there.

Geese crossing the street in downtown Rocklin.

We left at a little after 7 and headed over to Peggy and Gary's the back way. The Nemy's, and Hudsons were there with their two Chinese exchange students and Peggy cooked what she had learned from her cooking class in Sante Fe.
